There is no great secret. You endure what is unbearable, and you bear it. That is all.

“You see, Bill was all clawed up. Holding his insides in his hands.”

Why don’t we talk about this episode more often? No, seriously, why?

Sam Winchester is six foot four of solid sunshine and rainbows. Sam Winchester is the human equivalent of a puppy. Sam Winchester is caricatured as being this guy-

- and yet, in this episode, Sam Winchester scared the shit out of me. Possessed!Sam is one of the most creepy, sadistic, psychopathic, and generally just fucking terrifying characters this show has ever featured. Born Under A Bad Sign was the first time I sat back and went ‘oh my God, Jared can act’.

Dean is the best brother, mother, father…you could ever ask for.  Think about this for a second.  He found Sam lying in the hallway unconscious, running a nearly fatally high fever and he just FIXES it.  Dean carried all 6’ 4” of him back to their room,  gathered enough ice (presumably from a machine in the hallway) to fill half the tub, and put Sam in it.  Pushed him under gently, forcing his body to expel the heat.  He waited, no doubt terrified, for Sam to come out of it.  When Sam wakes up, gasping and in shock, Dean is there to steady him.  Sam is so confused and cold and scared that he gets angry, but Dean just explains why he did it.  The look on his face and the tone of his voice gives away his fear, but he just wraps Sammy up in a thick towel and soothes him.  Dean, one of these days someone needs to sit you down and take care of you.   You deserve it.

The sort of mutual respect that we had for each other before we started working together really did lend itself to the beginning of a great friendship because it was built on very strong foundations. It was nothing to do with fancying the other one, or any sort of flirting, or anything like that, that just never happened. And I think that’s part of the reason why the friendship has always been so sincere. We’ve just been very very lucky to have always had that and been able to hang on to it.

Coca-Cola’s long experimented with its vending machines, trying to make them more technologically advanced than the average soda-spitter-outer.

In the past, they’ve been known to give you a beverage only if you give them a hug, or if you dance or sing in front of them. Now, the beverage giant is attempting a much loftier goal: world peace.

Behind Coke’s Attempt to Unite Indians and Pakistanis with Vending Machines
